Hydraulic valves and directional valves control where pressure and flow go, whether that means relieving pressure, sequencing steps, dividing flow or switching direction. We look at the pressure range, the duty cycle and the environment first, and select or adapt a valve from there, rather than starting from a part number.
Rotary motion, from compact to heavy duty
Rotary actuators and hydraulic rotators provide controlled rotation for grabs, tools and attachments. Slewing rings and slewing drives carry that same kind of rotation under much higher load, in cranes, turbines and heavy machinery, while spur gear drives sit in between, transmitting torque where a slewing drive would be oversized. Which one fits depends on the load, the speed and the space you have to work with.
Keeping lines and signals turning with the system
Hydraulic swivel joints let pressure lines rotate with the machine instead of twisting or wearing through, and sliprings do the same for electrical signals and power. Both are small components, but a lot goes wrong if either fails, so we look at duty cycle and environment before selecting one.
Finding the right product group for your application
Not every application fits neatly into one product group. Tell us what you're building and we will work out which group, and which component within it, fits, adapting where the standard part doesn't.
